Chrystelle Tsafack Temah

Development economist and public finance advisor with more than 20 years’ experience spanning economic policy, development financing and human capital development across Africa.

Chrystelle has advised governments and development partners on public finance, economic policy and financing strategies for human capital development. Her work spans fiscal space analysis, domestic resource mobilisation, public expenditure reform, social protection and financing for health and education.

Over a substantial career with UNICEF, she worked across country, regional and headquarters roles, supporting governments on economic and social policy and the financing of services for children and vulnerable populations. Her experience includes developing national financing frameworks and investment strategies, and mobilising more than US$22 million to expand shock-responsive social protection in Madagascar. Earlier, she worked with the UN Economic Commission for Africa on macroeconomic policy, development finance and economic governance. Chrystelle holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Auvergne.
